Linda Elliott is the Founder, President and Center Director of the Hawaiʻi Wildlife Center. She is a graduate of Kalaheo High school on Oʻahu, attended the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, and holds a degree in Wildlife Biology from Arizona State University.
Stephen W. Kress is the founder of Project Puffin and former vice president for bird conservation at the National Audubon Society. Dr. Kress received his Ph.D. from Cornell University, and his master’s and undergraduate degrees from Ohio State University.
The Vanguarding an Inclusive Ecological Workforce (VIEW) Fellowship at Oregon State University is a summer research experience program that supports the professional development of future ecologists from communities that have been historically excluded or are currently underrepresented. The Seabird Oceanography Lab will be hosting a VIEW fellow during the summer 2024 field season. Deadline to apply: February 22, 2024.

It’s not too late to submit your abstract! Late-breaking abstracts can be submitted through January 31, 2024!
PSG 2024 needs volunteers to help with a variety of tasks and activities! If you have some time to spare, consider helping out. If you are interested, please contact Justine Miller (justine@luanaevents.com). Volunteer opportunities include: serving as a student paper judge, assisting with the registration/merchandise, helping with A/V tech (help load talks onto laptops, push play for talks), serving as a room moderator…
PSG 2024 is jam-packed with amazing plenary speakers, sessions, workshops, events, and field trips! As the Annual Meeting nears, we’d like to highlight some of the upcoming events.
The New York Natural Heritage Program (NYNHP) is seeking a marine zoologist to help conserve New York’s biodiversity by working with program partners to refine the list of marine animal species tracked in NYNHP’s database and identify the appropriate spatial methodology for mapping occurrences of marine animals Deadline to apply: February 18, 2024.
