From 1974-2013, Pacific Seabirds was printed twice yearly, spring and fall (except 2011), and sent to members and institutions. Due to rising costs of printing and mailing, and the nearly universal accessibility of the internet, the PSG Executive Council sent out a survey to members in 2014 to determine how best to serve the membership in terms of receiving the Pacific Seabirds publication, and content to provide. With support from the majority of members, a decision was made to no longer produce printed copies and in general, not to publish peer-reviewed manuscripts. In 2014-2016, spring and fall issues were combined in one volume and published at the end of the calendar year. In 2017, twice yearly publications resumed. Pacific Seabirds is available on the PSG website; some hard copy back issues are available for purchase.
