New Project Funded by PSG Conservation Fund!

PSG would like to congratulate Susana Cárdenas Alayza of the Punta San Juan Program in Peru for obtaining funding from PSG’s Conservation Fund. The $2000 will be used to acquire and install modular housing inside the Punta San Juan Reserve to continue with seabird research (e.g., counts, breeding success of Humboldt Penguins, Inca Terns, Guanay Cormorants), conservation actions (e.g., rodent removal, plastic removal), training of young professional (e.g., 3 month internships in the field for young Peruvians interested in seabird research and conservation). Other contributors to this project include the Wild Care Institute, Saint Louis Zoo; Aquarium and Zoos Facilities Association; Kansas City Zoo; and Go Fund Me crowdfunding efforts with Penguins International.
