We advance conservation of birds, other wildlife, and ecosystems through science, partnerships, and outreach. Our Coastal Program studies marine bird communities along the coast of California to inform resource management and guide actions to reduce human impacts on wildlife populations. Our research informs management actions aimed at recovering endangered species as well as guiding restoration efforts and the adaptive management of California marine protected areas (MPAs).
