Volunteers needed for PSG 2024
PSG 2024 needs volunteers to help with a variety of tasks and activities! If you have some time to spare, consider helping out. Paid Researcher: Marine Zoologist (NY)
The New York Natural Heritage Program (NYNHP) is seeking a marine zoologist to help conserve New York’s biodiversity by working with program partners to refine the list of marine animal species tracked in NYNHP’s database and identify the appropriate spatial methodology for mapping occurrences of marine animals Deadline to apply: February 18, 2024.

Request for help: ornithological society affinity group pilot survey
The Wilson Ornithological Society, the American Ornithological Society, the Association of Field Ornithologists, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and Virginia Tech reached out to PSG to test a survey aimed at supporting diverse communities in ornithology.
Paid Field/Research Assistant: Seabird Field Assistant (United Kingdom)
OxNav is seeking a Field Assistant for a 3-month duration (from May 15th to August 15th) to aid in gathering Manx Shearwater tracking data. Deadline to apply: early February, 2024.
Paid Scientist: Associate Fish and Wildlife Biologist (OR, WA)
RTR is seeking a self-motivated professional that is interested in being part of a research team at the forefront of studies aimed at monitoring colonial waterbirds and restoring fish of conservation concern. Research sites are based throughout the Columbia River Basin in Oregon and Washington. Deadline to apply: February 16, 2024.

PSG Student Research Grant application is open!
PSG is now accepting applications for 2024 PSG Student Research Grants. PSG will fund five grants up to $2,000 each! This grant application is open to all students who are currently PSG members. Deadline to apply: February 4, 2024.
Paid Technician: Seabird Survey Technician (OR)
Crescent Coastal Research is seeking a seabird survey technician to survey marine biota from a vessel from mid-May to August along the Oregon coast (from Astoria to Coos Bay). Deadline to apply: March 31, 2024.
