Seminar: Overcoming Challenges to Achieving Equity within the Conservation Field (NABCI)
It’s spring, the birds are singing, the flowers are blooming, and the NABCI Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice Community of Practice is hosting a new webinar!
The U.S North American Bird Conservation Initiative (NABCI) Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice Community of Practice is pleased to share that their next session has been scheduled for April 11 from 9-11 Pacific / 12-2 Eastern. This two-hour session will focus on “Overcoming challenges to achieving equity within the conservation field.” In this session:
- Dr. Diana Doan-Crider (Animo Partnership in Natural Resources, LLC) will talk about Creating Equitable Habitat for Underrepresented Women: Learning from a River
- Dr. Rosezetta Bobo (Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission) will discuss Identifying and Addressing Challenges to Achieving Equity Within the Conservation Field
- Dr. Kristina Cockle (National Scientific & Technical Research Council -Argentina) & Dr. Viviane Zulian (North Carolina State University) will talk about Confronting Coloniality and Building New Spaces for Bird Conservation in Latin America
- These presentations will be followed by a moderated question, answer, and discussion session led by Chris Kennedy (Missouri Department of Conservation)
