PSG 2022 Student-Mentor Session Final Call for Registration
With PSG 2022 quickly approaching, we wanted to make sure we had heard from everyone who is interested in participating in this year’s Student-Mentor session, which will take place Wednesday, February 23rd, 5:00 – 6:00 pm (Pacific time). This event will be an informal virtual evening gathering and an opportunity for students and early career scientists to connect in small groups with a mentor who has an established career in seabird research or conservation. This event has traditionally been a lot of fun and a great way to expand your seabird network!
To facilitate conversations, pre-registration is required for this event! If you would like to participate…
AS A MENTOR: please fill out this survey!
AS A MENTEE: if you didn’t already register for this event through your conference registration, please indicate your interest in the student-mentor session using this form. If you’re interested but not sure if you already registered, feel free to sign up again! Note: You do NOT need to be a current student to sign up as a mentee for this session – early career scientists of all stages are welcome to join, as well!
For the PSG 2022 session, we are collecting career and research information from those wishing to serve as mentors. In 1-2 weeks, mentees will be asked to browse the list of registered mentors and select their top 3 choices for who they would like to meet with during the event. We will make final matches of 4-5 mentees per mentor, and then e-mail all mentee/mentor groups ahead of the conference, so you know who you are meeting with prior to the event!
If you have any questions or comments, please contact Kristin Brunk: student_rep@pacificseabirdgroup.org
Thanks, and we hope to see you there!
