Paid Technician: Seabird Survey Technician (OR)
Crescent Coastal Research is seeking a seabird survey technician to survey marine biota from a vessel from mid-May to August along the Oregon coast (from Astoria to Coos Bay). Deadline to apply: March 31, 2024.

Job Description: Technician will survey marine biota from a vessel in the near-shore waters as one of a 3-person crew. The focus is on Marbled Murrelets. Season is 2.5 to 3 months, mid-May to August. Work is not full-time but requires flexibility.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with California Current marine avifauna and marine mammals.
- Identification skills.
- Degree or equivalent training in biology/marine sciences.
- Small boat operation and trailering experience.
- Ability to maintain flexible schedule and work cooperatively.
Wage: $2,000-$3,000/month dependent on experience and abilities. Some housing provided in the Newport area.
