Job Opening: Murrelet Research Assistants
Two, full-time Faculty Research Assistant positions open in Oregon.
The Department of Forest Ecosystems and Society at Oregon State University’s College of Forestry (Corvallis, Oregon) is soliciting applications for two (2) Faculty Research Assistants as part of a collaborative project led by Jim Rivers, in cooperation with Matt Betts, Dan Roby, and Kim Nelson. This position will provide leadership and support to ongoing research investigating space use, habitat selection, and breeding ecology of the threatened Marbled Murrelet in western Oregon. It involves planning and coordinating technical aspects of field research, being stationed near research sites on the Oregon Coast and participating in field work from April-September, and assisting with the hiring, supervising, and managing of seasonal field crews. Successful candidates will also lead data management and provide support for data analysis and manuscript preparation associated with the project.
