Donate to PSG HELPS and support early career scientists!

It can be challenging to break into the wildlife and conservation fields, so we’re working to support new members of PSG, letting them know that they have vital voices that enrich the group. Help grow our PSG flock!

PSG Helping Elevate Long-term Participation in Science (PSG HELPS) removes barriers for students and early career scientists to gain access to the PSG network, mentoring, and leadership experiences through membership and Annual Meeting support.

The program supports members like Lila, a Master’s student working to illuminate the impacts of anthropogenic activity on Western Gulls around Trinidad Bay, California:

“I received sponsored membership from PSG HELPS last year. Not only was I able to attend my first (virtual) PSG conference, where I attended talks, participated in the mentor session, and moderated a talk, but connection to PSG throughout the year has supported my growth as a graduate student. Having access to monthly seabird papers and the conversations of more experienced seabird (and ancillary) biologists has been illuminating. I’m grateful.”

– Lila Bowen, M.S. candidate at Cal Poly Humboldt

As we wing into the new year, join us in our efforts to continue to support students and early career scientists like Lila. HELP us amplify PSG’s message of diversity, inclusivity, and equity by contributing to the HELPS fund today! Click here to contribute.

With gratitude and best wishes for 2023,
