Albatross Task Force Chile seeking photos
The ATF-Chile is updating a seabird bycatch identification guide and is seeking pictures of live and dead seabirds.
The Albatross Task Force in Chile will be updating the Agreement for the Conservation of Albatrosses and Petrels (ACAP) “Seabird Bycatch Identification Guide” – a key tool for reinforcing species identification among fisheries observers working onboard vessels.
We are hereby calling for your contributions in the form of pictures of live and dead seabirds for the updated guide. This is of crucial importance, as updated information will help us improve data collection at-sea. Of course, there will be with an emphasis on albatrosses, petrels and shearwaters from ACAP’s species listand the guide will include the explicit recognition of your contributions.
